Belangsukawa: Abah Hafit

Posted on 31. Dec, 2008 by casainee in personal

Abah Hafit has passed away yesterday morning. I received sms from Hana around 4am. Since we just came back from Genting, I read without notice that she was talking about Abah Hafit. I woke up around 630am for prayer, I read again the sms. Innalillah wa inna ilaihi rojioon. I didnt know what todo, should I call her or reply her sms. I didnt realize that I took almost 1 hour to call Hana. She talked calmly and told me that she have passed the pedas-linggi already. Her friend drove for her, and the kids were ok and sleeping. Then I asked her what happened to Abah, since I know he didnt suffer with any illness. Then, I heard the silence pause..Hana was crying.

After I have settled everything (my leave, my appointments, adik-adik Amran & Husna), me and Amran decided to go and visit her at Kuala Selangor. We knew, sure we missed the funeral but I guess I should be there for Hana. We safely arrived at 5.30pm. Mak Siti talked about Abah, what he did, where he went and how Abah has persuaded her to follow him go fishing – thing that he never did before. Tak sangka itu adalah ‘hari’ terakhirnya.

Abah Hafit has always been good and kind person. One thing, I am very sure is, he was a very loving father. Since I am close to Hana, tempias kasih-sayangnya terkena pada ku juga.

My deepest condolence to my dear Hanayanti and family over the passing of Abah Hafit. My prayer goes to Una too, the youngest sis who is very strong, facing this feeling alone in USA. Be strong, sis!

Abah Hafit, may you rest in peace and may Allah keep him amongst the best of people and the closest to Him. Al-Fatihah.
