Keeping my romance alive after Husna arrives

I read babycenter occasionally though the site provides so much info and tips. This whole week was my midterm break so I have ‘sedikit’ time for reading. I would like to share with all mamas and mamas-to-be out there.

The topic is about “Keeping romance alive after kids arrive“.

According to their survey, there are many couples worried about how it would impact our love and sex life after having kid(s). Ya that’s true, including us. Alhamdulilah, we manage to maintain the romance (rasanya) although it is difficult in the beginning. Here are the tips/ideas that I pernah buat which are also recommended by the readers of babycenter.com.

1. Flirting and cyber flirting
Yup… amat mudah sekali nak flirting dgn husband yang sememangnya mengadap computer almost 15 hours per day. This trick is really working for me. It is the alternative way to express my feeling – to tell him how much I miss him (chewah) and marah jugak:p I feel like in love again if I’ve got his ‘email cinta’. Ohh bab ni Amran mcm dah lupa and tak buat lagi (huhu), anyway YM pun oklah! Kepada couples yang buta IT tiada internet connection, bolehlah mencuba 1 lagi trick iaitu SMS, or a note (like post-it note), where you can put in his briefcase or mana2 lah yang boleh dia nampak. Make sure it short, simple and sweet. “Sayang, tolong buang sampah” <– ini tak termasuk ok!

2. Shower power
Hah tips ni memang dicadangkan juga oleh Dato’ Dr Hj Mohd Fadzilah Kamsah dalam one of his CD iaitu mandi bersama. Itu sebab perlu memasang air panas kat rumah. Waktu yang sesuai hanya waktu malam iaitu selepas anak dah tido. I quoted one of the parents say “Our troubles and fears go ‘down the drain,’ and it lets us slow down, relax, and enjoy each other.” – I agreed!

3. At-home dating
For me this is hard to do. Tapi bagus juga..where you plan only two of you in the house, ponteng kerja take leave, masak together ke, put candles in the room or watching romantic movie. Anyway, kepada yang biasa masak2 untuk suami and anak2 nya, tips ni boleh diabaikan – boring!

4. Leisurely lunch date or watch movie
I like this idea, in fact we have been doing it for several times during weekdays. Tak kisah la walaupun makan kat JJ aje (wink) and like 1 hour only but the quality time is precious. The feeling of getting together makes me feel like falling-in-love again..wah! Masa ni lah boleh pegang2 tangan ke, suap makanan ke, main gosok2 kaki ke…yelah kan, dulu masa bercinta tak boleh buat, dah berkahwin taknak pulak buat!

5. Frisky business

He goes somewhere else to get ready, we meet at an agreed-upon place, and we act as if we’ve just met. Sometimes we pretend to be someone else. 6. Little things that count
My frens (and for my sayang too), bila kita dah berkahwin and dah ada anak, these little things (we thought as little things) actually really count and vital to keep our passionate feeling grows and alive.
# Going to bed at the same time – where we can have ‘pillow talk’ (activity selepas itu, ikut korang la ye;)
#Saying ‘thank-you’ and ‘maaf’ to your partner every night unconditionally
# Peluk/kissing each other without reason
# Solat berjemaah and he recites doa loudly saying about his love, hope and care about us..

    ya, saya sangat setuju dengan cadangan miss ainee. Surat cinta dalam email telah di ban di ofis saya. Maka saya tak dapat menghantarnya lagi.
