My pregnancy: 23 Weeks

I went for my monthly check-up last Thursday. I could see clearly my baby figure during the scanning process…ahah.. but this baby didn’t want to reveal the gender yet. And as usual, we saw how the baby kicking, swimming and streching in my tummy. The doctor even said that, my baby was quite active and has loooonnggg legs. Heh, itu normal doctor!

Anyway, Alhamdulillah, there was no problem with my glucose level and my weight has increased to 1.7kg. Heh, bolehlah. So my weight now is 54.7 kg.

Unfortunately, my haemoglobin is 10.5. Meaning, it’s dropping less than normal. The normal level is 11.5 - 16.5. The doctor advised me to eat more green veggie and seafood. Yey. Malam tu jugak aku pegi makan ikan bakar! :p

Husna? She is very happy to ‘have’ this baby. I think she’s ready to accept new member in family. I’ll tell about this in special entry soon.

21 going to 22

I am 21 weeks (going to 22 wk soon) and I guess I feel pretty ok recently compare to my days for the last 4 months. Once a while, I still vomiting, but not as frequent as before. Alhamdullilah. Which means I have to watch out what I eat since my appetite is getting better now. My weight also has gained - during the last visit was 53kg (tp rasa dah naik lagi ni!).

Obviously, people can see my stomach already. When I entered the class last Monday (first day for this sem), I could see their eyes were looking at my tummy, ceh! This time my tummy is bigger compare to my first pregnancy, I guess it is because of the 2 ‘karung’ and of course, the fat that I have developed all these years! Hahaha..yelah bukan zaman anak dara lagi…

However, it’s difficult for me to find a suitable outfit. The maternity wear is not yet suitable for me. Even I bought ‘S’ size, it is still too big for me. But all my normal clothes MEMANG tak muat! Luckily, I found MotherClub in KLCC, very comfortable, affordable and yang penting muat untuk aku I went also to see ModernMum’s but not only not-trendy but too big for me. Last time I bought MikiMum’s, which was ok but this time pun tak sesuai. Ada jugak baju yang aku beli from South China Sea, beli yang sederhana besar, so bolehlah aku pakai. Anyway, baju kurung aku semua memang boleh pakai lagi cuma kain dia lah..kena bukak zip adjust skit.

For me, it’s important to look good and to feel good during pregnancy. I’m having a problem with my self-esteem, so I do really need to look ‘cantik’ with my clothes. Tak tahulah, but I feel like not to see me in the mirror Salah satu sbb yang aku rasa membawa kepada perasaan ini ialah, maybe sebab aku tak ‘gemuk’…hahaha. Ohh, fyi biasanya orang pregnant ni akan gain weight, so pipi tembam skit, so nampaklah chubby + merah. Tapi aku lain pulak kes nya, berat turun, muka cengkung dan sangat2 pucat!! Heh, tapi takpe…janji baby sihat, and I’m getting better and trying to adapt this new situation.

Kali ni, memang banyak dugaan skit. Antaranya ialah kulit sangat kering dan keluar bintik2 merah, gatal. Ruam2 jugak banyak tumbuh di badanku dan jugak muka. Jerawat pun macam senang je nak tumbuh. Aiyak!! Tapi takpe, ni semua perkara biasa, I can handle it…Ada orang lagi macam2 or teruk2 kena.

Tido? Oh my sleeping beauty is no more beauty. The baby is quite active and I keep visiting the toilet at night. You just imagine, you are very very sleepy but could not sleep!

So mommies, camna? Getting pregnant? Susahnya? Takpe..memang susah skit tapi berbaloi. Allah Maha Berkuasa. DIA dah janji…setiap kesusahan itu akan diikuti dengan kesenangan. 2 kali DIA ulang dalam Surah Al-Insyirah (Alam Nasyrah) ayat 5-6. Pegi check;)

And for the youngsters (esp Khadijah, Adik, Adik Nisa, Bilah, Faiz, Ahmad, Farhan, uitt ramai pulak..aa sapa2 yang bacalah) jangan derhaka pada Ibu. Jangan buat ibu-bapa susah hati pasal kamu. Dahlah susah masa pregnant, nak lahirkan lagi..then nak jaga lagi…tup2 dah besar, melawan pulak. Ewah! (heh, akak nasihat aje..bukan ckp korang melawan..hahaha).

A Blessing June

June is a special month for Amran’s family. His siblings including himself were born in June. Miracle rite? Abah memang pandai bab-bab timing ni
Fauzana -4th June, Salwa - 8th June, Amran - 10th June, Aida - 18th June and lastly Azyan -20th June. Kewl!

Last weekend, we went back to Srg Buaya. Husna was very excited, choosing a card for her aunties and was very happy with the birthday celebration thingy. She even asked a present to give to her aunties but we were so late that night, so we decided to buy later. So on Sunday, before went to BP mall, we did a small celebrations for the girls - nyanyi and potong kek je;). Husna yang paling excited, she even had planned who will blow which candles - of course dia salah sorang yang nak tiup!

So my dearie sisters, happy birthday to all of you. Wishing you everything that brings you happiness today and always. You’ve been blessed with a caring Abah who is always worried (actually) about his 4 daughters. You’ve been blessed with a tall-but-gomuk brother who is always there for his sisters. You’ve been blessed too, with a wanna-be princess niece who is always excited to meet her aunties (esp Awa), and lastly, you’ve been blessed with a loving-sporting-kind-cun-but-buncit, the one and only kakak ipo who is very happy with her 4 in-law sisters

To Ana, bertambah2 rezeki mu hendaknya, kerana kekayaan itu perlu dikongsi bersama2:)

One night, Husna was cycling in the house. Suddenly, she was asking Papa:

Husna : Papa, apa yang kat atas kepala tu? Tali keledar?
Papa : Bukan. Topi keledar.
Husna : Oh nanti papa belikan ye?
Papa : Naik basikal tak payah pakai topi keledar..motor aje.
Husna : Alaaa…safety violation tu kata kena pakaiii…
Papa : (tak bunyi apa2 pun:))

Hah, tu dia…safety violation tuhhh!! Anak mama yang bijak!=)

HyperEmesis Gravidarum (HEG)

Let’s learn something today. What is Hyperemesis gravidarum? Hyper means ‘over’, Eremesis means ‘vomiting’ and Gravidarum means ‘pregnancy’. So when a pregnant woman is having a bad and over, nausea and vomiting, it is no more ‘morning sickness’, it is HEG or HG. (Ewah, dah macam doctor lak aku:) Kalau ada doctor yang TAK tahu benda ni, bermakna dia ada beberapa paper yang fail la:))

The cause of HEG is unknown, according to my readings (yg tak seberapa), only 0.2% to 3% only pregnancy women will have this (Wow, aku antara yang bertuah lah:p) This problem will cause of losing weight, high dehydration and ketosis.

How to know that you are having HEG? Other than frequently, extremely vomiting, it can be detected from urine test. There is one ‘bahan’ called ketone will be found in the urine. The level is 1+ to 4+. The biggest number is the highest level of ketosis (means ketone in your urine is very high). How is thing happen? Ketone is produced when your body ‘thinks’ that you are starving (even though your are not hungry). Since you cannot eat or keep vomiting, your body will start burning the fat in your body to change to energy. This process will produce ketone. So in other word, the level of ketone will determine the level of your dehydration and your starvation.

I had been hospitalized since Saturday’s nite till Monday’s evening because of HEG and ketone was found in my urine with 4+ level:( Before I went to hospital, ketone’s level was 2+. Unfortunately, bila check lagi sebelum masuk ward, it was already reached 4+. Around 11botol air masuk dlm badan aku. Aku kira sampai 8 aje, pastu dah tak larat kira. Huhu..seksa! Pergi mana2, bilik air terpaksa bawak palang besi tu. Tido pun kena berhati2, takut terbelit or tertekan tangan. Ada 1 masa tu, darah keluar banyak, sampai kena ‘flush’ (heh, ayat nurse tu, aku ikut je).

Aku terima dugaan ni walaupun semua orang ingat ni pregnancy aku yang pertama:( Doakan aku semakin kuat, sebab aku dah nak kena hantar thesis ni:((

A Swing ??

Uh ohh…a swing?? Hehe..aku rasa Amran kecik-kecik tak puas kena buai or main buai lah..Husna tak mintak pun, dia yang beriya-iya sangat:p 2-3 kali pergi kedai hardware, cari besi atas tu.

Papa is happy, Husna is happier…Mama?? Who would you think, mopping the floor in middle of the night, as the ‘daughter-father’ were going in and out with the dirty feets? Aiyak! So what’s next, Papa?
